The Product
Elevator decisions grounded in structural reality.
Most tall buildings slow their elevators based on wind speed at the rooftop. Ibex measures what the building is actually doing — and acts on that instead.
Deployed at two of the most demanding addresses in North America.
One World Trade Center
541m. 104 floors. New York, NY. Ibex is deployed at One World Trade Center.
Brooklyn Tower
325m. 93 floors. Brooklyn, NY. Ibex is deployed at Brooklyn Tower.
How Ibex works.
Ibex installs on-site and integrates directly with your existing elevator controller. From day one, the system is measuring, deciding, and recording — with no changes required to your building’s core infrastructure.
Sensing
High-precision MEMS accelerometers measure actual building sway continuously. The system responds to what the structure is doing — not to a rooftop wind speed reading or a conservative theoretical margin set at the factory.
Control Algorithm
Live structural data flows into RWDI’s proprietary control algorithm — derived from five decades of research across more than half of the world’s supertall buildings. Every elevator decision carries the weight of genuine structural authority.
Dashboard
Every event is logged. Every system response is recorded. The cloud-based dashboard gives owners and operators continuous visibility into structural health, elevator performance, and a permanent forensic record accessible from anywhere.
Works with the systems you already have.
Ibex integrates with existing elevator control systems across major OEM platforms. Installation does not require replacement of existing hardware. For compatibility details and integration specifications, contact our engineering team.
